The Year that redefined my life

Well thats how i will define 2011 if someone ask me to do. A revolution happened and best thing about that is, it forced me to do things. I failed, embarrassed, disappointed and frustrated but learned to go through those moment, learned to handle the bad situation better and kept chasing the success even though it eluded me more often.

This year i will remember for long time because i believe my life basement is laid in this 12 months. Its not because i got placed in CTS and have a job around the corner in 6 months time, its because i finally learned what i need to do in my life. I always wonder to do many things and i still do, but this year helped to define the path. The path that i believe will connect all my goals separated over various field. Here is my most wonderful and unforgettable moments & good things I did or happened this year in no order.

Solid batting :

At the start of this year before moving away from club cricket, I played two of my best innings where i once lead my team to win and other to hard fought tie.Not big scores, just 48* and 34* but the context of the match in which scored those runs really satisfied me lot. Irony is i never got appreciated both times rather once i was given mouthful words for pushing for quick runs since other batsmen is not good runner and coach believed that his wicket is more important than mine.

Dream come true : India winning world cup

April 2nd, The moment which the whole India waited for long, long time. Moment of Dhoni hitting six and jumping in not knowing what to do in college Auditorium where more than 1500 students watching still in front of eyes. Tears in my eyes wept off the long awaited dream in the heart.

Writer : Sportsmirror

I never even in dreams of dreams thought i will become writer but that's how life unfolds. Its not you who script what life will be, rather its life which tells how you should. The words are less to say thanks to Vikram and Pooja Kamboj who gave me the opportunity as intern. Those 3 months are learning curve for me and today when i sit down to write an article, i see the difference clearly. Above all, will be always thankful to Singer Chinmayi akka through whom i first got to know about twenty19 which then routed me towards sportsmirror.

Winning way : Harsha Bhogle

Year just kept getting better for me. For the first time in my life, something very special happened during my birthday. Wrote an article based on my real life experience with cricket in passion and won the book which will be autographed by my inspiration and author of the book, Harsha Bhogle. Also for first time in my life, i read the entire book and simply loved it.

Last moments of college with friends:

4 years, just nothing happened or made me special towards college life. But last 6 months, the last semester where we all will be together sitting in class and spending time, really kicked off my emotions. I was very happy i took the chance to speak before my friends because i regret it never happened during my school life. Whatever happens hereafter in life, College life will be always with me together my best school times.

Personal learning : Movies, reading and off-course earning money

I think the movies which saw all this year, changed me lot. A lot of wonderful movies, thought provoking and life telling stories. From nothing to over 20 English movies now i have as collection for life like we keep books. Read lot of things, just started as vague with no intent and learnt lot.

There are so many to write but i can't able to tag those under any words. As i said at first, this is the year that defined my life path. I think facebook and twitter played major role in my life this year. As usual, lots of new friends but still not forget all my old friends.

If i were asked to pick the most satisfying & unforgettable moments, surely India winning the world cup. But 1) Vikram Kamboj recommending me to Times of India newspaper for writer job and later showing one of my article to all in Chandigarh Time of India Office, then
2) my friend Aditya trusting in my ability and recommending me to his friends (sportskeeda) saying i am good writer,

are the two moments which deeply moved me. I will be always thankful to those who all helped me and that is one thing i always ask god to make not to forget those who helped me.

Hearty thanks to all and lets welcome 2012 with no expectation. We do what we love and let the things happens rather running towards it.

Happy new year to all :)

Silence evoking emotions

People tell you always when you are in stress or disturbed, seek silence at best places. I don't know how somehow i speak more during silence but only difference is its one way, I speak and nature listen. There is a inner silence, a inner emotions which comes at high or low times in life and sprays around the truth of your real image among others. I haven't been through that situation but had gone through those emotions and silence in private (I and nature alone).

Today was one such day spending lonely time and thinking about lot of things. While walking lonely on sides of roads in one of the street near my home, i heard " Poongatrile Un Swasathai Thaniyaagath Thaedipaarthaen", song from Uyire movie, written by none other than great Vairamuthu. Silence, emotions and lyrics of that song took me somewhere and at one moment i started murmuring my own lyrics inspired from that song. It was such a great moment and felt like my life can end now. You go to through those moments to realise the beauty of life and nature of the world.

Poongatrile En Swasathai Thaniyaagath Thaedipaarthaen
jananatheen vidai kekkum pothu
Kannil iruntha valiyal amaithiyelum poorkalam kanden
Uyirin Ole piriyum munnae En Kural kekkum angae
Amaithi poorukku pinbu dhannoo

 - (Inspired from Vairamuthu lyrics)

It keeps you away from helling at god for giving you this life, away from anger, away from opponents, away from vengeance and away from all hatreds. You won't be alone in that world, your good memories and thoughts hugs you with love. The whole world is different, everything looks beautiful but until your worries prop up. Its unexplainable and it will remain as such to let others go through rather read about that.

Had you gone through moments like this? if not, try.. good or bad, you get a chance to ask plenty of questions that you can't do otherwise.

Good night and sweet dreams :)

You Name it!

Today is not like any other day for me. Off course, its Sunday, holiday for all and lazy day to be honest. But it started quite different for me today. Woke up as early as 7.00 AM, brushed and was getting ready to start my daily exercise routine but since drinking water came in corporation pipes, have to abandon my plans. Then something even more dramatic happened, i went to barber shop and finished my bath as early as 9.30AM. Now, thats something very unusual for me to have early bath in holidays and that too on Sunday.

But today is special in another way actually. A special man who everyone loves from heart and worship him like revolutionist was born today. A man without whom i firmly believe something would have solely be missed by the world and the dynasty of Tamil. Yes, I was speaking about the great, marvelous, wonderful, passionate and name it as many you want since this all will only precedes just one man and one name, Subramanya Bharathiyar (சுப்பிரமணிய பாரதி).

To be very honest, i want to say so many things about him but i am sure that it won't be something you don't know already. Rather i want to talk about something which saddened me today.

I think everyone know that tomorrow (Dec 12) is birthday for the one and only Superstar forever, RajniKanth. But this is not that something we needs to be sad about and as one of a fan, i am very happy and excited for tomorrow. Lets come to reality for a moment now, from morning and till now (1.30PM), how many newspapers, TV and any media highlighted the fact that today is Bharathiyar birthday, then compare it with Rajini Sir birthday celebration. This is nothing to do with Rajini Sir as person because he would have himself saddened by this fact. But this is about us, the society, the community and India.

As a matter of fact, amidst all debates i like that the facebook and twitter exists. Because its just pops me up the good hearts existing somewhere inbetween thousands and reminds me about the important things we forget often. Even though not many facebook and twitter status shared about Bharathiyar compared with Rajini sir today, they actually updated enough to get noticed about today special. I was deeply saddened by the way media (especially TV channel which is bigger market now) is going. Its nothing wrong in celebrating Superstar birthday because he is the pillar through which media grown and it inevatibaly gave life to many peoples via job.

Bharthiyar and Chellamal

But what is wrong in celebrating or remembering or sharing about Bharathi? It is a sad note the way world is moving now. The news about Bharathi birthday is only few seconds of information to be told for tamil channel including news channel.

I am not here saying i am perfect. I was got notified today via twitter in the morning by one good & responsible heart and immediately i was ashamed of myself as a tamizhan and student. Because i love this man Bharathi lot. He was the man who sowed revolutionary thoughts in my early days and the man who was responsible for holding the pride of tamil at a time people moved away from it. As a student, i learnt lot of things and his lessons are always remembered in my path. Its big mistake but it will be a even bigger mistake if i continue to repeat this one.

I sometimes wonder what is wrong with the world? Is the society that changed the individuals(us) or we the individuals changed the society to be like this? seriously i don't know. May be its best answered by each individual asking themselves this question looking at the world.

I want to be do this blog in tamil but its very hard for me to do it using online tamil typing software and moreover i haven't went for any typing class to learn & type in tamil using keyboard. Pardon me for that. Happy I blogged today though i wanted to cover lot of issues in this but time will come to raise about it.

Happy Birthday Mahakavi Bharathi avargalae!!!... though your body doesn't exist in the world, your thoughts and writings will always be.

Good depends on your choice

I wanted to say this for long time because its something that changed me for better. Like many others, i too had wrong impression on watching English movie (believe me even in 21st century, most people in south india except those from citities still feel ashamed and guilty of watching channels like HBO, star movies and others). I don't know how to explain this, may be its because children feel watching these channel make their parents or others will feel bad about them and lip-lip kisses or womens wearing short dresses are just as bad as you can see in TV sitting with family.

But in the last 2 years or so, my view on English movies changed completely. Trust me, they are so many good and inspiring films available which you can watch together with family in TV. If any parents reading this blog, please doesn't block your child from watching English movies because somehow in another way he/she will watch those movies later down the years. Rather i would suggest to show him/her which are good movies to watch and learn.

Movies like October Sky, Rambo series, Rocky series, The Greatest Game Ever played, Rookie, Forever Strong, The Blind side, Shawshank Redemption, Remember the Titans and few others are just as much good movies you can see both as individual, friends & with family. As a parent you teach child form these movies a lot about life and what they should take with them in their path.

In olden days, they say good books are treasure of life. I think in modern days with time running fast, movies are better to educate people with good and worthy thoughts.

Its August 15th, lets celebrate our Independance Day

The day I can speak for years to come and the day i can be proud of. Each year the day of August 15th is so special as it shows the value of my country. During my childhood days, August 15th is just an another holiday plus chocolates and during my high schooling days, its a day to salute the sacrifices and now, its a day that tells me to take hold of my nations torch.

Everyone will get emotional thinking of August 15 in India but got to say its one of a few days where all the peoples of India get together as a nation. You can speak on and on about August 15, the only that needs to be stressed always is "United in spite all differences". The song below is always the first that comes to my mind and hope everyone remembers this song....

Yesterday, Today or Tomorrow, I am always a proud Indian. I salute all the heroes of our nation who gave their life for our breath. Lets try and work hard to equal their loses by bringing in more pride and joy for our nation. We as the people of our nation, always hold the responsibility for all the bad and good things of our nation. So, we must always stand together in spite all the difference we have from language to culture for our nation at anytime and anywhere.

JAI HIND !!!!

To my Friends

To be honest, i don't know where to start and from whom to start. Friendship is one thing i have always believed whether i have seen them in real life or through internet. Whatever i have now might not be the same after 5 years but i know there is something i always have even after 15 years, Friends and Friendship.

I made lots of friends but most of them came through because of needs and right so, it doesn't stayed long enough to celebrate. Even after that, there are plenty who stand me with now and to think i made lot of true friends in 20 years of my life is something i will cherish. I wasn't lucky to have a childhood friend traveling with me in life, but i still remember two, Sasi kumar and jayaprakash . Sasi was very close to me and we share lot of things including our home stories. I last saw Jayaprakash 10 years ago as i moved away from the village and Sasi 6 years ago. I wish and hope i see them one more time in my life.

If childhood is memory, then teenage is history. My school days are my best and good thing is we all keep in touch with each other even now. We still fight each other, we still mock each other and we still not praise each other in front of them and we still hide our love but we keep remembering each other. Now, college friends and i still don't know how much love its going to come when i say goodbye to them at the end of this year college thinking i will meet them again soon. Apart from these, there are lots of friends i made when i was working in browsing centers, playing cricket and through games in internet.

Friendship is so sweet that i can't express how it tasted in my life.A day will come to say goodbye to my friends and till that i celebrate my life with them.

Life is a walk of pain

When i see the road, i worry
When i see the wastes dropped collectively on the roadside, i worry
When i see a child in need of help on the road, i worry
When i see a old man cleaning the shops on the roadside, i worry
When i see a man pulling, sweating and riding with heavy loads in three wheelers on the road, i worry
When i see a man working at the top of buildings with his life far from the roadside, i worry
When i see students protesting on the road at noon just to make a show, i worry
When i see myself a part of this, i worry

When all this worries hit me, there are moments that erases all this
A Mother protecting her child from hot sunshine using her saree,
Kids enjoying the walk towards school with friends,
A worker smiling in joy after earning the money,
A banner showing the success of pain,
So much worry, so little a joy to smile - Life is a walk of pain

Sometimes i feel so proud to be part of this world but most time i feel cursed. There are two types of man i see,

A - a man who goes up in his life by looking down, will never fear to come down.
B - a man who goes up by looking up, will dare to do anything to stay on top in fear of getting down"

At the moment, B is leading A in huge margin but when A starts taking lead, i feel the world is blessed with joy and missed with worries

Thank you,
Vishnu Kumar

Home at first

Three days ago, i had good conversation with my sister elder daughter Nivedha who is studying 4th standard in Matriculation school. The conversation is just reminded again what's the wrong our school teachers are doing.

Me: What is the name of our PM? Prime Minister?
Nivedha: Jawarherlal Nehru
I am shaking my head, indicating its wrong
Nivedha: first or second
Me: now
Nivedha: Jayalalitha

I laughed and explained to her who is Jayalalitha and Manmohan Singh is our PM.Also, I explained her about the question difference asking first PM and the one i asked. Whenever someone asks generally you have to say the current one not the first or second. She nodded the head in disappointed and challenged me with a  question. She doesn't like being pointed out as wrong one, so she will always ask me a question so that she can outsmart me and also have a laugh at me saying "you don't know even this one, you are studying in college".

Nivedha: முன்றாவது தமிழ் செம்மொழி மாநாடு எது? (which is 3rd tamil conference?) ---( also note the way she asked the question)
She kept repeating asking again and again, forcing me to answer. I don't know the answer, so kept ignoring without answering. Then after her continuous pursuing , I answered thinking anyway it would have happened somewhere in tamilnadu.
Me: Tamilnadu
Nivedha: No, its coimbatore
Me: ok, coimbatore is in Tamilnadu
Nivedha: No.. Tamilnadu is country
Me: what? its a state in India
Nivedha: No, In tamil it's Tamilnadu and in english, its called India.

I laughed at her and hit in her head. I know the answer i said is not the correct one and she has every right to laught at me. We elders do act smartly with person who are less capable than us rather than it should be other way around. After that i explained to her that the question she is asked is wrong but she resisted initially and later accepted the mistake when her mom told. The conversation went on for some more time with more questions.

This post is not to show i am better or have a laugh at this conversation. We need to think, a child at 4th class doesn't even know how to answer simple questions when it is asked in other words than that her teacher written and taught her. You ask the questions in any way about TV serials like Thirumathi selvam, Thangam, Thenral and Chellama ( all are Sun tv tamil serials), she will tell the answers. So, what's the difference? where lies the mistake? we paid over 20000 rupees as fees for her but in return, she is not learning what is needed.

We Indians are seriously lagging in good teachers especially at primary levels. Nowadays Education is becoming more like a business where only brand names changes depending on the money we can afford not the quality. Its really sad to see her just mugging what is in the notes or book and writing that in exams without knowing the meaning. We can't blame teachers alone, parents have share in this. My sister always used to tell "she won't be like you, will be better" whenever i question the way she teach or question her girl ability. Off course even i want her like to be me but i just can't resist saying she is not getting better in knowledge for the money she is spending.

If there is a child in or around your home, just take a time to interact with her. Not to prove, you are better but to let her know simple things they need to know. Just tell them great man stories like Einstein, Abdul kalam and others to let her dream to be better.

"We need a visionary teachers not at high school level but at primary levels" - Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam

We had so many conversation like this, but i hope one day she can outsmart and laugh at me. I will be ashamed but will be proud at my heart.

Good morning to all , have a nice day and pray for better teachers

Ask this again and again

My life took complete turnaround by asking this questions. When i down and disappointed, when i needed motivation, when i needed a sting to hold on , when i needed a life to live... for all this answers i got questions. Its too easy to just enjoy the youngster life and move on later with family, but to think & think again in youngster life is difficult and a must one too.

What i am going to do for my parents? Is being able to like what they expect will bring them proud and joy? No, never!! I want to see my parents show their joy through tears by not able to keep intact with them. I want my parents to see what i achieved. So, for that i need to do something, something that gave joy and proud for everyone. How i want to be remembered? Born , living and die can be done by any living things in the world but living after you die is what the human beings are made for. What i did for my land, my nation and my people? Can my child be proud of me? because the moment the child think, i could have died instead born for you, all your life goes meaningless.

Sometimes youngster thinking and feeling like this are termed not known to live a life by others. Its true because they are going to live a life not known by others.

Vazhkaiya ippadithan vazhanum sollran paru - avana nambu
Vazhkaiya ippadiyum vazhalam kamikkiran paru- avanaiyum nambu
Ana vazhkaiya eppadi venalam vazhalam solluran paru - avana nambatha kayavana irrupathai vida uyirai vidalam

Just want to say what i had in my mind...take it if you like, teach me if you think its mistake and forgive me if i am wrong.

Good night!

1000 hits

wow! great to see the blog had 1000 page views. Thanks to all who took time to visit my page. I hope i provided good content to read and will continue to do so. When i was starting this blog, i was running everywhere to promote but later i dropped the idea completely. I just wrote to express my feelings and day to day life, suddenly without even promoting , i saw more people taking time to visit my blog and read.

This shows good content don't need to be promoted but it needs to be shared. I hope everyone who reads share those good things to your friends. Because sharing is the only way, one can get true pleasure in the life. Whatever it is, just share things with others, you will get great satisfaction for achieving things.

1000 Good morning today :)

Oh! Not again

Our so called Mr.HM Inspecting
Blast - How many times in my life time i keep hearing this?..where is the stop button for this? surely our politician never going to pull this off even if knew it. Because for the past 18yrs, this thing of blast has happened time and again , only thing our crowned politician did best is "Inspecting the blast sites". I don't know what human are they made off. Surely 18yrs is too long to just pass on the odds against each party, not one even one government stepped up to wipe out this entirely from our land.

We had enough bloodshed already. At least if not able to prevent, we still don't have medical emergency system. My heart fell broken when i saw this picture (below). This is just insane that there is not enough ambulance is rushed to the site. But on other side, great to see that our people still not lost out hearts, helping each other when needed as much as they could in whatever way. Also kudos to Mumbai police for alerting all people via cell phone message requesting them to stay inside not to come out, thus reducing the chaos on the street which might hamper the rescue operations.

Blast victims of Zavari Blast carried out in lorry

People Helping

US after 9/11 9 years ago, alerted their system. But we still after "Black Friday" 18 years ago, keep repeating the mistake. Hope! the remedy is very near, we don't want another Black Friday.

But whatever happens , Life goes on...A very Good morning to all.

Take a Walk

I used to walk to my near friends home in evening time or i take myself a walk for some distance between 8 pm to 9.30 pm. Both in my home and my friends ask me why i do that, because i loved it. I love that evening time cool breeze, environment, nature beauty, stars in the sky, children's playing in the street and many other things that makes my mind to relax. It gives me lot of pleasure when i walk in evening times. It takes me to new world, i will forget all my problems, tensions and everything. Not even one day i miss doing this.

So, i am suggesting you friends , please take a walk for some distance in evening times. If any friends accompany you, it will be even more great for you.I am sure your mind will be free after doing this, you will love the world and you will love the life.Just try it for a day, it doesn't cost you anything.

Remember don't walk in the high density roads and start scolding me for suggesting this.

Good night!

Start writing - its not too late

Why not starting about your life? looking back your life, you can see how you created a path on your own and talent you had in your young age and all those mischief's , naughty behavior and lots of memory. There is no best way to re-live those moments and also to know more about yourself. Believe me or not, there is some magic in writing. May be that's why all great man had supreme believe in writing about themselves or their vision , dreams and more.

There is no one to hear, just you and your life. So , the best time for being really honest on you and everything involved in your life. You can write lot of things that can't be shared with others. The fear, love, lose, disappointment, angry and every emotions of your life will get an answer when you are writing.

There are many things that can't be expressed but only can be felt and writing is definitely one thing. When writing you will go to your deepest heart, where you will find lot of truth about you. We tend to forget lot about us as we grow up like eating along with all families & friends on top roof with open face. Little little moments but off a great value.

Just try it, you will find an answer for your life.

Cheers! and good night

Dream Cricket started rolling in

After a long gap , started working on my dream project few days ago. I lost energy in the middle and had no mood to code for project anymore but thanks to Dr. Abdul Kalam sir , watching his speech in youtube really inspired me. I already wrote about that night few days ago here.

Dream cricket is a single player role playing simulator game. You start as a young kid and progress through your cricket career. Initial design are going on. Finished 10-20% part of the project successful. Off course , main thing is match engine which i will be starting next now. Thinking and pondering about the ideas for match engine as i want users to be involved in the decision making when match is going on.

Lets see how coming days pans out with college starting soon, campus interviews and being shortlisted for journalist job in www.thesportsmirror.com.

I will post few screenshots very soon. If you have any ideas or concept you like to be seen in cricket game , you are most welcomed to share.

Thanks, Have a nice day!

A night full of reading and listening

Just like any other night , said good night to my friends in online forums and twitter then went on to watch an NDTV Debate on Rajinikanth Phenomenon before going to bed. After watching this, i had my own points & facts to nail those who said Rajini is Market muscle pull. But just I went on to read more about Thailaivar Rajini early life and blah blah... found some really shocking things and the day begins here...

Then slowly story linked me towards reading and watching videos about Vairamuthu Sir. After some inspiring and true story , i came to know the most shocking news i have never heard. There had been tussle between Illayaraja sir and Vairamuthu Sir in 90's which parted them apart for 20 years till now. After 1990, Vairamuthu Sir and Illayaraja Sir never worked together again.

Then came the night gold for sacrificing sleep. I saw a video where Vairamuthu Sir speaking about Dr.Abdul Kalam which resulted in giving more links to Dr.Abdul Kalam sir in Youtube. Slowly one by one , i watched as much video as possible for close to 2 hours from Dr.Abdul Kalam sir speach in Internation conference to School function. Even though i love him so much earlier but i never seen the videos i saw today. Dr.Abdul Kalam sir saying what it means Leadership and What skills needed for Leadership are just awesome to relate to my dream. He said "Vision, Passion and how to make success after failure are the three important skills for Leadership". Not in a conference or to high-tech people , but in one of primary school fucntion. He said so much that each point struck my heart like a bow from Ekalavya in Mahabhartha.

It takes so much time to really explain what i went through in last 10 hours or so but i really hope this hours are my defining moments in life.

Dr. Abdul Kalam said ,
"When there is a righteousness in the heart , there is a beauty in the character
When there is a beauty in the character , there is a harmony in the home
When there is a harmony in the home , there is a order in nation
When there is a order in nation , there is a peace in the world"

I feel like re-charged now...so much energy in the heart. I will try to get all links and post it here , so that it might help you..

Have a nice day!

twitted for 1 lakh crore question

"what should be done with the one lakh crore and counting found in kerala temple. all views welcome! " , A Question in twitter from Rajdeep Sardesi , top NDTV Editor.

I replied ,

Pay all our external debts.. i don't want to hear or see anywhere India borrowed money. if at all anything remains, provide free and quality education. Without quality Education, a Nation is doomed

I don't know he really reads my answer or not... but that's my wish.

The year started with great comeback from England to draw the match against SA with Onions surviving and probably induced new confidence into the team to reach the top of the world at the end of the year. 2010 is most likely the best year ever for England in cricket after winning their first ever ICC title and retaining the ashes with a thumping series win in Australian soil.
